Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a contract between you and NightShield VPN AB (“NightShield”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using our apps and network (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

NightShield provides encrypted VPN connectivity across our global server network, plus companion features like the ShieldNet™ ad & threat blocker. One subscription covers unlimited simultaneous devices for your personal, non-commercial use (business plans are available separately).

We work hard for 99.99% uptime, but the Service is provided “as is” — networks occasionally hiccup, and we can’t guarantee every server is reachable from every location at every moment.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.
• Keep your credentials secret. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
• One account is for one household. Don’t resell or publicly share access.

4. Acceptable use

NightShield exists to protect privacy — not to enable harm. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Break the law, including hacking, fraud, or distributing malware
• Send spam or conduct denial-of-service attacks
• Infringe others’ intellectual-property rights
• Harass, threaten, or exploit others

Because we keep no activity logs, we can’t and don’t monitor what you do. But if abuse is reported and verified against an account (for example, payment fraud), we may suspend or terminate it.

5. Payments, renewals & refunds

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel.
• You can cancel auto-renewal any time from your account dashboard — you keep access until the end of the paid period.

6. Intellectual property

The NightShield apps, brand, and website are our property (or that of our licensors). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for accessing the Service. Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or copy them beyond what applicable law allows.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NightShield’s total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms. If we terminate without cause, we’ll refund the unused portion of your subscription.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Stockholm, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
